Please follow the below steps carefully to make sure you are doing a perfect manual firmware update for your Cell Link by yourself.
- Make sure to use a Micro SD card class 10/U1 from 2 GB to 32GB. If you are using more than 32 GB, your Cell Link will never work.
- Long Form Format the micro SD card with any Windows PC or Laptop (With Apple MAC you can do regular Format)
- Download the update file from Spypoint website. Click this quick link to start the Download.
- Open the downloaded .zip (Cell-Link_V1…02-5.zip) file by double-clicking on it to find 2 files in it.
- Open the SD card name folder from THIS PC or FILE EXPLORER (common name is SDHC).
- Copy the 2 files from the .zip file onto the SD card. Select 2 files & select COPY from right Click.
- Verify the copy has been successful on your Micro SD card by Ejecting the SD card & then plug in again to your computer or laptop to check.
- Finally, eject the Micro SD card from the computer.
- Make sure the camera is turned OFF & if possible, take the batteries out of it as well.
- Insert the Micro SD card & the batteries into the Cell Link.
- Power ON the camera.
- The camera will run the firmware update by itself for around 90 seconds. («Status» light flashes orange rapidly).
- Then, it will flash green for a short period (may be for few seconds).
- Then, it will flash orange slowly.
- Then, the camera will restart by itself and it will go through the connection process. («Status» light flashes green).
- The camera firmware will be up to date. Congrats!
