FLEX M SPYPOINT LED Guide

  • 0

Your FLEX M SPYPOINT uses built-in LED patterns to display power levels, cell signal, and system errors. Knowing these signals lets you verify your setup before leaving the field.

Normal Startup Sequence

During a standard power-up, the FLEX M SPYPOINT runs diagnostic checks before arming:

  1. Sequential Red–Orange–Green Flash: The unit cycles colors at boot to verify hardware and firmware readiness.
  2. Flashing Green Status Light: Indicates the dual-SIM modem is actively searching for local cell towers.
  3. Solid Green Signal Bars: Network connection established with strong reception.
  4. Solid Orange Signal Bars: Fair cellular signal; photos will transmit reliably.
  5. All Lights Turn Completely Off: Boot is complete, the unit is armed, and the motion sensor is active.

Signal & Transmission Warnings for FLEX M SPYPOINT

  • Solid Red Signal Bar: Weak cellular reception; photo delivery may be delayed.
  • Flashing Red Signal Lights: Connection timeout after failing to lock onto a carrier within 5 minutes. Turn the unit off, check the antenna, and move it away from heavy cover.
  • Solid Orange Light Frozen (>5 Minutes): Modem timed out during a cellular transfer. Power cycle the camera and trigger a manual test shot.

Battery & Power Warnings

  • Flashing Orange Status Light: Low battery warning caused by voltage dropping below the startup threshold. Replace all 8 AA batteries or recharge the LIT-22 pack.
  • Immediate Faint Red Flash at Startup: Critical power depletion. Batteries lack sufficient power to run the cellular modem, halting startup.

Card & System Warnings for your FLEX M SPYPOINT

  • Blinking Green Format LED: Normal MicroSD card formatting in progress.
  • Solid or Flashing Red Format LED: Card error. The unit cannot read or format the card. Use a clean Class 10 MicroSD card formatted to FAT32.
  • Rapid Flickering Orange/Amber Light: Active over-the-air firmware update. Never turn off the unit during this pattern, as cutting power can cause internal board failure.

Checking these lights before walking away ensures your FLEX M SPYPOINT stays connected and ready for the entire season.
